Welcome back to the Creative Awards blog where we bring you the very latest from our workshop and our custom made award designs. Now, down in Hatton Garden we’re a rather happy bunch. From the designing to the making of our awards our teams pour their hearts and souls into each award that leaves our HQ and graces the tables of the very best events across the UK.
In today’s blog, and with happiness in mind, we turn our attention to the recent awards that we made for our friends down at Laughology. What is Laughology you may ask? Well, let’s delve a bit deeper, shall we? Founded in 2006 by Stephanie Davies Laughology is a unique training and consulting organisation built around the psychology of humour, laughter and happiness. Through workshops, behavioural change programmes and consultation sessions, Laughology help organisations to improve their performance and build more happy and effective working practices.
We, too, are firm believers that a happy workforce leads to better results and we were delighted to be approached by the organisation to produce their awards for the second year in a row. Taking place in MediaCityUK, Salford the glittering event was the end result of over 200 entries that were painstakingly, or should that be laughstakingly, whittled down to the finalists. Over 150 guests and nominees descended on the venue to celebrate their achievements and receive their fabulous awards. Award categories included:
- Happiest Workplace
- Happiest Workplace Person
- Happiest Team:
- Happiest Primary School
- Happiest Secondary School
- Happiest School Person
- Happiest Pupil 2018
We were excited to help celebrate the happiness heroes and create an award that bring a smile to the recipients’ face every time they looked at it. We wanted to create a clean and modern design that would capture the purpose of the event and the branding of the company itself. We chose optically clear acrylic Perspex to create the body of the award as the material allows for great customisation through the use of rear printed graphics. A big, bold yellow star formed the centre point of the HD graphic that was offset by the blue colours of the business and its logo. To finish, the category and winner’s details happily rest underneath the star.
Creative Awards would like to thank all the teams at Laughology and wish all the winner’s the very best. For more information on the event, visit www.laughology.co.uk
