DIY Awards
London is empty. High streets are quiet. Essential travel and movement of people has been redefined during these strange times. With the UK in lockdown, we turn our ideas on how to inspire the nation with five DIY-themed bespoke awards to help you to get through lockdown and get to work on those jobs around the house that have been put off for too long.
Time to dust off the tool box, don your finest overalls and make yourself the strongest cup of tea imaginable (think a dark, rusty brown) and get to work on those odd jobs around the house. We suggest a splash of colour with our custom made Neon Rulers that were commissioned by a leading design company. Each individually cast fluorescent ruler is complete with the logo of the company and measurements. Equally at home as a working ruler or on a mantelpiece, the Neon Rulers certainly reward those bright sparks and ideas that grow businesses.
Next up, something to let out the stress! What trusty workman would be complete without a hammer? And what hammers these are! These brightly coloured beauties were created for an innovative event that wanted a unique twist on an award. Custom cast from solid, forged steel, each individual hammer features a personal inscription and is finished in bright, extreme gloss lacquer. Not only do these colourful hammers look good on an awards shelf, but they can be used to make it as well.
With social distancing now an integral part of our lives, why not escape the stresses of home life and escape to the garden? Channel your inner lumberjack with our Acrylic Chainsaw Award and let loose on the bemused branches as you swing at them with your mighty chainsaw. The bespoke award contrasts the organic material of the wood with the custom machined acrylic chainsaw. To finish, a hand engraved silver plaque as applied to the base of the award.
A more peaceful way to enjoy the garden, get those thumbs green and start sowing the seeds for the future. The Acrylic Flower Award. Soft lines form the backbone to the custom made acrylic award. Featuring floral imagery and optically clear acrylic, the body of the award was precision profiled from a single piece of acrylic. To complete the clean look, a high res digital print was applied capturing the branding and colour schemes of the company.
After a hard day working on your home and garden, why not sink into your favourite chair, draw a breath and crack open a bottle of your favourite whisky? To be consumed in moderation of course. Drawing from age-old tradition and centuries of heritage, we took inspiration from both the iconic company logo and the industry itself. A precision cut copper stag, the metal is used within the whisky stills, rests upon hand cut sherry barrels, used to age the whisky, imparting a delicate, sweet alcohol smell.
Creative Awards London would like to wish all of our friends, clients and the public the very best during these hard times.
