Welcome back to the Creative Awards London blog where we bring you the very best custom made awards and trophies from our London workshop. This week has seen mass protests across London and the UK as climate change protestors took to the streets in order to highlight the emergency that is climate change. Organised by Extinction Alliance, the group behind last year’s Rebellion Day which witnessed 6,000 activists block key bridges across London, the protests are taking place from the 15th to the 29th of April. As climate change and the protests infiltrate the daily media cycle the message is clear - government’s across the World have to work together to avert disaster and enact legally binding measures to prevent disaster.
In the spirit of raising awareness for a cause we deeply believe in we wanted to showcase our eco-friendly awards as stunning alternatives to traditional, non-sustainable materials. Made from sustainably sourced materials, our eco-friendly awards stand on their own merit as eye-catching designs. We have chosen three of our favourite awards to raise a rebellious fist and push for a more sustainable future together.
Part of our range of slate and wooden awards, this beautiful award is made from entirely natural occuring materials. Sourced from the UK, the award is made from natural slate and wood from 100% sustainable sources. Not only does the natural, organic beauty of the slate and wood elegantly come through it also means that, due to the natural imperfections in the materials, no two awards are ever the same. Simple, eco-friendly the natural hues and tones of the materials combine to stunning effect.
Commissioned by global chicken slinging giant Nando’s, the Burnt Wood Award is a spectacular example of the versatility of wood as a material. Made from FSC maple wood, the beautiful grain contrasts with the sharp, deep etched bespoke graphics reflecting the brand identity. The custom made burnt effect is a firm nod towards the sizzling sights of their famous barbecued chicken. Tasty!
One of our latest bespoke wooden awards it the Paper Tree Award. Commissioned to celebrate the achievements of a leading company, the custom made piece beautifully captures the organic nature of paper. Wood was chosen as a nod to the paper making process and the deep, mahogany award elegantly rests on a bespoke base. The hand-cut, FSC-approved wooden tree is finished with customised engraved detail.
