Silver Coloured Award Ideas
Welcome back to the Creative Awards London blog where we showcase the very best in bespoke trophy and award design and offer you in insight into the UK’s oldest established award makers. Now, if we said to you Ag, what would you think? Is it Essex slang for trouble? Well, that’s a decent guess but we are actually referring to the chemical element symbol and if you did guess that then well done. In today’s blog we offer some ideas and inspiration in designing silver coloured awards. Silver is an excellent choice of finish for awards as it creates a feeling of luxury, sophistication and is a clean neutral colour that can be paired and enhanced with other colours and, in our opinion, simply looks great. Without further Ag we offer you our top five silver coloured awards.
Kicking off our silver themed awards week is this modern award. The Triple Pyramid Aluminium Award uses the beautiful, natural finish of the silver aluminium as its central colour point resulting in a contemporary and timeless feel. The body of the award is a single piece of the metal, custom cut to capture the brand identity of the client. To finish, the award was mounted on a bespoke cut base that was engraved with the winner and ceremonies details.
Can you name this famous perfume bottle? Drawing inspiration from the high street chains products, Creative Awards London channeled their inner perfumier and designed this special award that was commissioned to celebrate long service achievement at the famous retailer. The body of the award was coated in a top-secret in house coating to create the eye catching and shiny finish. Offset by the red acrylic in the centre of the body, this award shows that simple colour schemes can compliment a main silver colour and elevate it simply yet effectively.
We kick it old school with the 10 & 4 acrylic awards. Resting on a thick, acrylic base the body of the award uses a similar finish to the Triple Pyramid Award. Silver coloured awards are most commonly associated with metal awards and the versatility of the material is showcased in this particular instance. Offering an almost infinite array of possibilities, custom cut metal alphanumerical awards are a great way to celebrate particular dates or meaningful numbers.
Proving that silver can take a backseat this award is really wild. A bespoke body was made from thick aircraft grade aluminium engineered into the shape of an abstract zebra before being coated in matte black paint. We stripped the coating to reveal the wonderful tone and colours of the metal that compliments the matte black showing that when designing a silver award it doesn’t have to be the main colour.
Finally, we keep it simple and perfect the standard rectangular shaped award with the Food and Travel Awards. Commissioned by a major household brand, the award is made from a solid rectangular block of polished and plated metal. A polished and plated golden metal outline of the award graphic was applied to the surface of the block creating wonderful contrast between the light, reflective silver and the dark, duller gold.
